Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a special education teacher in a self contained classroom. My students come from various backgrounds and educational needs.
My classroom consists of learners with differentiated needs, and different learning styles.
To support them, I use multiple entry points to ensure all students meet the learning targets. I also use engaging manipulatives such as puzzles, blocks and books to help my students with kinetic and visual coordination. My students also benefit from continued assistance with visual and auditory technology to support their academic growth.

These materials will enhance my student's learning in many ways.
The class set of headphones will help with focus when completing educational programs on the laptops. It will ensure students can focus on their individualized instruction while using programs to meet their learning needs.The puzzles will support memory and sequencing. It will allow students to engage in hands-on small groups and stations.The blocks will support math, hand and eye coordination. It will allow students to work in groups to problem solve and design.
The leveled books will support students reading on grade level.
