This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are building a new drama program and need materials and resources for our playwriting program.
My students are a group of diverse and under-represented kids that are eager to have alternatives to the gang activity that surrounds our school.
The newly created drama program provides opportunities for them to express themselves in healthy ways. They need that desperately.
My Project
The students will use the materials to properly plan and execute live productions. I am requesting one Drama Education with Digital Technology, Stylus Publishing Drama To Inspire Book, and House of Doolittle Teacher Planner.
They will also use the Paper Mater erasers to "erase" mistakes in their communication skills. My students will keep daily journals to introspectively learn how who they are and how to express themselves. They will also use the materials to write and produce plays that deal with conflict resolution.
The project will provide planning and executing materials for live productions, as well as introspective daily journaling to develop acting skills.
The project will also help me stay accountable to planned curriculum.
