Help me give my students materials to make the classroom an organized and welcoming environment to learn in, including using storage organizers and whiteboards daily to do their best learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After nearly 20 years of being in the same school and in the same grade levels, our classroom materials are in need of an upgrade. The bean bags, which students love to use for reading, writing, and some quiet time, require more filling to be comfortable to sit in. The place value chart and fraction manipulative need to be replaced with newer versions that are not peeling or missing pieces. The paper cutter and laminator are also in need of replacement in order to efficiently prepare lessons and display work. Finally, the storage bins students use annually to store classroom materials are also in need of being replaced with bins with lids to keep materials from spilling and being lost.
Your donations will help our classroom environment stay organized and clean and have the necessary visuals for students to access basic math information.
Most importantly, students will take ownership of their learning while using their whiteboards in teams to work through math problems, plan projects, and work on team-building activities. Your donations will assist in creating an environment that each student in my classroom looks forward to joining on a daily basis.
