Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many students love school and they easily make connections with teachers and students, because most of them love learning. For others, it can be a difficult and stressful place.
I want to provide my students with a beautiful, calm, and safe environment to help them learn best.
That is why I am asking for new decorations and learning materials to set the tone of the room for the beginning of the year!
My hope is that the calm colors, nature theme, and affirmations will help make the students feel safe, welcome, and excited to learn. The literacy posters will be used for my remedial reading class, called Just Words, in which I teach students phonics and basic literacy. The butterflies will be used for our first science project in which students learn the scientific method through raising butterflies in the classroom. The solar cells will be used for our second project in which students will test different renewable resources in order to reduce our school's carbon footprint.
