This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
On July 10, I will be welcoming 18 to 20 second graders into their new classroom. They will be eager to meet me, each other, and to see their new classroom environment. I want to ensure that our classroom is prepared with the materials they need to make their transition into a new grade easy, fun, and engaging.
I need your help to equip my classroom with materials like a calendar, daily schedule chart, headphones, bins, and morning meeting items.
These materials will engage my students during morning meeting as they share the day, date, and weather as well as learn about each other through questions and discussions. The headphones will be very useful for students as they do independent work on their Chromebooks. The storage bins will be great to help organize classroom materials such as books.
