Classroom Makeover! New Materials Needed!

Help me give my students a classroom environment where learning can take place all around the room with the use of the mobile dry erase board and a wheeling stand to hold a laptop or ipad.

My Students

We have 30 amazing students, who come to school eager and ready to learn. We teach our students to be leaders in and outside of the classroom. This means they are in charge of themselves and are responsible for making their futures great by making the right choices.

We may be a special education ICT classroom, but our needs don't define us.

For some students, our classroom is a safe haven where they know they are loved and encouraged to always do their best. Our students come from various ethnic backgrounds. Additionally, with our school being a Title I school, many of our families come from a low socio-economic class. Students have the opportunities to receive free meals throughout the school day including breakfast, lunch, and an after-school snack. Despite what some may view as disadvantages, our students always maintain a positive attitude and strive to do their best.

My Project

In our classroom, we use small group instruction to teach new content material and to reinforce previous learned skills. our current dry erase board is broken and barely stands up on its own. Having a new mobile dry erase board will allow us to teach instruction anywhere around the classroom. Having a laptop stand will allow us to display our laptop or ipad anywhere that will be helpful for instruction and for our students. The light box will be used to display positive and encouraging words each day when our students enter the classroom.

Our classroom could use some new materials to replace our old and broken ones.

Having colored pens/markers will help our students revise their writing drafts and make necessary changes before they publish their work. Timers are very important in our class. some students need timers to help them know how much time they have left to work before they get a break and others need it to know how much longer they have to be working before we transition into our next activity. The No Yell Bell will help us transition our students to our next activity by helping them learn that when they hear the bell its time to transition and they don't need to hear our voice to transition.

Please help us reach our goal and get some new needed materials for our classroom!
