My Project
Help turn my fourth grade classroom into an uplifting space for learning! This is my very first year teaching and, due to teacher shortages, I am joining this fourth grade ELA classroom late into the school year. My fourth graders are the sweetest, most deserving children who have experienced far too many disruptions to their learning experience already. I would love to be able to makeover our classroom so that students feel motivated, loved, and safe to grow and learn at this critical age.
I am hoping to receive the funding to properly pour into the aesthetics of our room.
Currently, the walls and bulletin boards are bare with clutter and tape left from previous teachers. As the school year is already in full swing (and this is my first year teaching), I've devoted a lot of time and energy to our curriculum and behavior management. Classroom decorating has fallen by the wayside but I truly believe the environment I teach in is impacting the quality of my students' motivation and attention in the classroom.
These scholars deserve the world! And I truly wish I could give it to them. Teaching is my passion but this first year has already begun to weigh on me in ways I did not expect. I would be so infinitely grateful to have my community's support in educating and motivating our future leaders. I believe this starts with a classroom that reflects care, consideration, and attention to detail.
