it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their energy, creativity, and kindness. They come to school every day ready to learn, support one another, and grow not just academically but as thoughtful young people. Their curiosity inspires me to create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and exciting—a place where they truly want to be.
Each of the resources I’m requesting will help make our classroom more inviting and effective for learning.
The beanbags will create a cozy reading and reflection corner, giving students a comfortable space to relax, focus, and enjoy books. The string lights will add a calming, warm atmosphere that helps students feel at ease, especially those who may be sensitive to harsh overhead lighting. An automatic pencil sharpener will save time and keep students prepared without interrupting our momentum during lessons. Finally, the Expo marker pads will allow for more interactive, hands-on learning—whether it's group brainstorming, math practice, or quick check-ins, students will be able to actively participate and express their thinking.
