My students need a BrightLink LCD projector and interactive digital pen.

My Students
My students are high achievers, risk takers, questioners, eternal skeptics but wide open to all new experiences and information. They are active and engaged, and fully 21st century in their likes and activities. If they HAVE to be indoors, they want the lesson to be high tech and interactive.
My students vary in socio-economic status from middle class on down, but are homogeneous in achievement level: high.
They are a highly engaged and intellectually active group. Our classroom is noisy, messy, colorful, and fun. My students ask constant questions and love going outside. Worksheets and Powerpoints don't cut it. The school itself is more "modern" than some - built in 1999 - but is lacking in many of the instruments and technology pieces that would constitute a "21st Century" classroom. Some classrooms have SmartBoards, but these are made essentially useless due to the projector systems that don't allow for proper usage and the lack of training.
My Project
This LCD projector and interactive digital pen will allow me to lecture at the board while not being blocked by my own shadow on the board. My students will be able to watch animations of scientific processes, engage in interactive lessons, and give multimedia presentations to their classmates. Additionally, we will be able to take part in NASA Webinars, Skype Lessons with scientists and experts from around the world, and virtual labs.
This iLCD projector and interactive digital pen will move my classroom to a whole new level of technology integration and streamlined presentation capabilities.
My students are totally infatuated with touch screen technology, and this Brighlink turns a whiteboard into a massive iPhone, but with far greater capabilities for interactive lessons. Instead of spending time erasing marker ink off of a whiteboard, we will have more time exploring scientific concepts and cool images!
