My Project

Hello! I am Ms.Shella and I'm teaching Special Education 3rd -5th grade. My students are non-verbal and I am trying to make our library inside the classroom. I want my students to appreciate books and stories even though they don't have the ability to process phonics. I want them to sit down and feel and smell the materials of books. turning the pages of books can also help their fine motor skills.

My goal in this project is to have my students have an area in the classroom where they can sit down read books and listen to stories.

My students are in special needs, they learn in their own special way. They are curious and like hearing stories. They express what they need through icons and senses. I hope that you can support our classroom. Thank you!
