Help me give my students a set of classroom library books that celebrate diversity and empowerment.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Janora's classroom raised $306

My Students
Our school in Richmond, CA is considered high poverty with a diverse student population. In fact, our school is one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the Bay Area.
We will be teaching from home at the start of the year and we will continue until it is safe to return.
I would like to make this experience as rich as possible for my new students with the supplies requested in this grant.
My Project
Our classroom library needs some refreshing!
During this time of distance learning and beyond, I want my students to have access to books that celebrate diversity and empowerment for all students.
I am always searching for quality books that expand the imagination, empower and represent all cultures.
First graders are so excited by books and our story time is one of the best times of the day. While we are distance learning I will read these stories during our class meetings to spark discussion and then I will add these books to our class library when we return to school.
