My Students
I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with second graders for the past 4 years, but will be moving to the fourth grade this fall! I am excited for this new challenge. With this new, and exciting change, I need to update my classroom library in order to support this new age group.
My school supports a diverse population of students who love to learn from one another.
This upcoming school year, I am hoping to inspire my students to build a love of reading.
I believe that exposing students to different cultures early on will benefit them in their future endeavors.
My Project
The best way to make students readers, is to put a book in their hands! In order to create lifelong readers, students actually need to read books. I feel that students need to have a variety of books to choose from. Having a large classroom library is essential to creating lifelong readers. This project will allow me to provide more books for my students that are engaging and will motivate them to read. I want to see my students excited about the books they are reading and want these new materials to spark a love of reading this year and beyond the classroom!
