My students need a classroom library to take books home to read.
FULLY FUNDED! Dr. Leicht's classroom raised $424
This project is fully funded
My students are in fifth grade and I was their teacher in fourth grade. They are a wonderful group of children. I encourage them to take a book home from my classroom library each night to read. Since I moved to fifth grade with them, they have read most of my current library of books.
I am looking to supply my students with new books to borrow for their nightly reading. By allowing them to select the book to read they are reading more each night, they enjoy what they read. My students are also working on their reading comprehension to improve their scores on our state's assessment test. They have all selected a goal of surpassing their fourth grade score by a certain level.
These new books will help to continue this level of enthusiasm for reading and help them to reach their goal of beating last year's reading test score.
