My Project
I teach in a wonderful community in the suburbs of Chicago. My students are engaged and inspiring. One thing that makes them special is their passion for reading. Many students are avid readers, and they have a wide range of interests. I hope that my classroom library can help them grow their passion for great books.
I have always been proud of my classroom library, but it is currently in need of a refresh.
I haven't added any new books for a couple of years. My students need more options for their independent reading. I'm particularly interested in providing more great non-fiction to help engage my more reluctant readers. Students are exposed to far more fiction during middle school; I want to help them love non-fiction, too.
