Classroom Library to Increase Reading Fluency and Comprehension

My Students
Many of my students are below grade level in both reading fluency and comprehension. By having a classroom library, I can help students chose appropriate reading books and assess them on both fluency and comprehension.
My students are from rural Illinois and are 50% free and reduced-price lunch.
The students I work with our special education students who are currently below grade level in the area of reading.
My Project
The students I currently serve our special education students and have educational gaps in the area of reading fluency and comprehension. In order for students to excel in education they must have a good reading foundation. It is also important for them to find a genre of reading that they find interesting and fun in order to keep them engaged and reading outside of the classroom. This will enable them to have a desire to read outside of the classroom. My students want to read better they just need a variety of books for them to choose from .
