My Project

Sixth grade students deserve time to read and access to diverse books. My plan, to end the year, includes showing book trailers each week to entice them to try new genres.

Help me support my students' reading lives with a diverse collection of award-winning, high-interest titles to help students finish the year strong!

Research shows that academic achievement is linked to leisure reading. What better way for students to wrap up a year of learning and growth than with more delicious books? We appreciate your consideration of this project.

It's not uncommon for some of my students, including previously reluctant readers, to linger after the class bell rings as they work on finishing a chapter or section of their books. At our school, students can build a lifelong love of reading and learning.
