My Project
It's time for some fresh books for our classroom library! The best way to get kids to love reading is to offer them plenty of high interest books and give them opportunities to read. I hope that by offering new titles in my classroom, I can inspire more students to experience the joy of reading. I’m also hoping to build engagement in the topics we study in Social Studies by selecting acclaimed young adult texts connected to United States History.
With this project, I hope to get more students engaged in reading and to see themselves as readers. Students who read will be more successful in high school and beyond. Additionally, our classroom set of functional headphones is dwindling, so we could use some new sets to get us through the rest of the year.
