My Project

The books will help students who have fallen behind during the pandemic and require additional reading materials to bolster their independent reading skills. A classroom library expansion will give students access to a wider range of books geared toward their interest level and lexile. Access to a wide variety of books will be available to all students in my classroom. I have also added a reading conference period to my class time, so I have included specialty seating (lounge chairs) for those opportunities to connect with my students. There are some additional items on my list that will help with reading comprehension instruction. Students in the classroom should always have an interesting, new read readily available. Student progress should not be limited by a lack of books available to them. My hope is that these titles will be widely read by students in the classroom and at home.
