My Project
Our class is looking for a better classroom library and some more book options. We need bins to organize our classroom library books and books to read for WIN time & use for literature circles.
My students work hard and love having new options to read.
I want to give my students more opportunities to work in groups and discuss books. This will help them with comprehension and understanding the text. Have our classroom library organized and having more options will allow students to find books easier and find new books that they may be interested in.
This is my first year teaching 4th grade and I have some books but not multiple copies or more current ones for students to use in small groups for literature circles or for their independent reading time. We have also been having mystery readers this month and the books on our list have been ones students have been interested in from our mystery readers. There have been multiple students who want to check it out from our school library if it is available. So having them available in our classroom and having multiple copies will help encourage students to read books they are interested in and create more discussions among students who are reading the same book.
