This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project is for planting supplies and for hydroponics planting materials so our students can implement their project-based learning activity on farm-to-table. Our students have been learning about growing their own gardens in urban settings by understanding the importance of nutrition, learning how to create sustainable ways of growing healthy food, and focusing on nutrition.

Our students will be able to understand the importance of farming despite living in urban settings and develop critical skills on how to take charge of their own nutrition and food source.

Our students are really excited about watching the plants grow inside the classroom!
