Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With the unpredictable weather changes we constantly have, my students are in need of water bottles to keep in the classroom at all times to stay hydrated while working. We do not have air conditioner in our room so our classroom gets very hot.
Our class can also benefit by having extra incentives for rewarding good behavior, birthdays, and work completion.
If a student does not finish a math assignment in class, they are encouraged to complete the activity at home for extra practice. By having incentives and snacks to reward the efforts taken at home encourages this practice to be repeated over and over in a positive way. My students will work very hard to earn something special, but in the long run it teaches them a habit of working extra to finish something and feel good about it.
