We are located in Leesburg, Florida. Our students come from a high poverty area so most families are not able to help with all of the necessary supplies for their students. I work with 5th grade as an Exceptional Student Educator.
Many of my students are in need of classroom motivation.
These students has been shuffled in and out of classes, schools (virtual and brick and mortar),The only thing they need to be successful is positive vibes and positive reinforcements.
My Project
With students at various levels, weekly individualized goals are key to filling gaps from previous years. In order to meet all of these individual needs, online programs are used in addition to teachers as resources.
Each student has a weekly and monthly goal that they have set for themselves.
By setting and achieving weekly goals, students are taking ownership of their learning. It makes them feel empowered and successful.
Most of my students are determined and proactive in the learning process; however, some could use a little extra motivation to realize their goals each week!
