Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First graders love to move around and flexible seating provides them the opportunity to have a choice. Students engage more in their learning when they feel comfortable. We all learn differently and sometimes being able to move helps us minimize distractions so we can stay on task but still get the wiggles out. Students need to feel they have ownership and are in a safe and engaging environment so they can learn. Having a choice in their seating also provides them a way to learn about themselves and what works for them. This is why I am asking for a new classroom carpet, wobble cushions and chair bands.
