My Students
My students come from a high-poverty area. They face many challenges at home and in school. Many of them are lacking in basic school supplies. Most are low academically, but they come to school every day, ready and eager to learn.
I want my students to have the best third-grade experience possible.
Our school budget is very small, and I buy a lot of materials myself. I need some help to give my students what they need to be more successful in the classroom. I cannot control what my students experience outside of school, but, while they are in my classroom, I strive to provide them with everything I can to make them feel cared for and successful.
My Project
Due to some recent changes at our school, we have lost our only usable whiteboard within our room. We are doing the best we can but we miss our board! Our board will be used to display items such as our daily schedule, the date, and our class incentives. It will also be a place for learning to happen and be displayed for all to see.
Due to COVID, all students have been using their own individual supplies, and those supplies are dwindling.
I am asking for a refill for some of our most used supplies to help carry us through until the end of the year.
