My students need chart paper, markers, pencils, and paper to complete daily tasks and lessons.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
By the time February rolls around, our classroom is covered with evidence of our learning- charts hung from windows, student-written books displayed in portfolios, and bulletin boards covered with student work.
My students are motivated, bright young children eager to learn but who live in a community and go to a school starved for resources.
Our principal does the best she can to use the school budget efficiently and provide the essentials for students and teachers. However, as budgets continue to be slashed and demands on teachers raised, it seems to be harder each year to make do with what is available. My students should have the same high-quality materials that children at wealthier schools are provided with.
My Project
I am requesting classroom essentials that make everyday learning possible. Each whole-class lesson requires large chart paper (and the markers to write on it) to help students anchor their learning and introduce and solidify understanding of new vocabulary and concepts. And, of course, students need pencils and paper to practice what they learn!
With this donation, my students will never have to use a pencil that might not make it back out of the pencil sharpener.
They will have access to all of the new learning we do by being able to access the charts we create together on large chart paper. They will be able to display evidence of their learning through written work every day.
