My Project
My students are kind, hardworking individuals. They deserve a classroom that's as awesome as they are! All of them have wonderful personalities that they love sharing with our class.
My students deserve great supplies and a fun learning environment.
We use timers every day in our classroom so I want an easier way for my students to see them. The large digital timer and the visual timer will be used many times throughout the day on the front whiteboard. We also practice fluency reading for 1 minute and I want them each to have their own sand timer to be able to read independently without a partner watching the time for them. I also allow students to take timed breaks when they need to. The other sand timers will be used in our break box and or other various things they need timers for.
The whiteboard markers will be used with my class set of whiteboards and at my small group table. The markers we have now are already losing ink, after just a month of school.
I have many students who speak both English and Spanish in my class. I have a very limited selection of books for them so the bilingual books are to help grow my collection for them.
My class loves skittles and these will be used as a whole class reward to work towards.
We are learning multiplication and many games require dice for all students.
Lastly, my students' pencils are constantly on the floor or not in their desk. I am hoping that these pen pals for their desks will help them to keep better track of their pencils throughout the day!
