My Students
I teach a group of amazing, curious, and hardworking general and special education students in first grade. About sixty percent of my students have a range of disabilities, some of which include learning disabilities, physical disabilities, emotional disturbances, speech and language impairments, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Like any other class, my students' abilities and interests range across a wide spectrum.
All of my students require individual or small group attention.
Each day, I incorporate all of their learning styles, interests, and special education accommodations into our lessons. Some of my students prefer visual or auditory cues for learning, while some require a more kinesthetic or tactile approach. My students come into our classroom each day with a love of school and a desire to grow as a learner.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) is an online platform with thousands of resources for anything related to school. There are so many resources that I know would be incredibly useful for my students next year, especially as we are back to school full-time this year after 2 years of hectic transitions for our students.
A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would allow me to access interactive digital (and printable) resources that allow students to remain actively engaged in all subjects.
There are already so many resources that I am looking to purchase for my students - reading bundles, writing toolkits, behavior charts, and math presentations. I know that with these incredible tools, my students will soar! In addition, TPT not only benefits students, it also helps teacher-creators around the world. It’s truly a win-win for supporting students and teachers!
Additionally, we would love some more Clorox wipes. With COVID-19 cases on the rise again, we want to take extra precautions in protecting ourselves and the students.
