This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All of my students are full of energy and have an excitement for learning. They appreciate the little things, which makes teaching so amazing. I can show my class a picture of something to simple, and they come up with tons of questions and observations. They work hard and they love to learn.
My 26 students are amazing kids and aim to always have a growth mindset.
My school is a Title I school and we all work as a team. We strive to see growth in each and every one of our students and, in order for that, they need to receive the best education and differentiated instruction. I believe I could make that difference in each of my first graders, and I am excited to see what the growth and hard work my class accomplishes this year and future years.
My Project
Our classroom is a place where positivity and kindness is encouraged and rewarded.
We make sure that our classroom is a safe environment for all students.
In order to ensure all the kids are learning academics as well as social emotional skills, we need some extra classroom essentials to get the job done. This project is full of learning materials such as a small group whiteboard to teach one on one skills, prizes to reward positive behavior, growth mindset and positivity posters, scented markers to make class posters, a cart to store all of our supplies, and some reading tools to use to catch some of the kids up who fell below due to the pandemic.
