Help me give my students a speaker and printer for basic use in the classroom. The printer is a priority so that the students will receive their worksheets, labs, and tests.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have been at my new school for 4 class days. The students are welcoming me with open arms. They are decorating their nameplates with "Welcome Cary" or "We love Cary" which makes me and my students from Cary feel welcomed and loved. The students have told me that they are most excited to make new friends and want to empathize with them. The love and acceptance that my students display make me proud to be their new teacher.
On October 20th, Cary Middle School was destroyed.
As a new teacher, I did not expect this to happen to me or my students. I have been reassigned to Franklin, and I need a projector and printer to give my instruction. My students have gained a new teacher, and I think they deserve to have the best.
My Project
On October 20th, I lost everything in the tornado. The community is helping rebuild our basic need for a classroom. The cost of rebuilding a classroom from scratch with new students and a new grade is harder than I could imagine.
The speaker will be used to watch videos and watch our own lessons that we create.
The printer is used to print off learning objectives, worksheets, labs, and other for the class. The speaker and printer are both something that my classroom needs, and the students and I will be so thankful for the donation. We are Cary Strong!
