Help me give my students headphones, supplies, and a vibrant classroom space that sparks joy, supports focus, and inspires them to learn, grow, and feel proud of their environment.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our 12:1:1 special education classroom, my students come to school every day full of curiosity and excitement. They love to learn—especially when they can engage with hands-on resources and see their classroom come to life with color and creativity. Each student has a unique learning profile, and many benefit from multisensory experiences, structured routines, and vibrant visuals. This project will provide math manipulatives, markers, erasers, sharpeners, and a portable dry erase board that supports active learning and helps reinforce essential skills in ways that are meaningful and accessible for all learners.
A more visually engaging environment not only brings joy to students but also helps them feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.
To create a space that matches their enthusiasm, I’m requesting classroom decorations and organizational tools like pencil holders to brighten our room and keep it running smoothly. The addition of a portable dry erase board will allow for flexible teaching and learning across the room, which is especially helpful for students who need movement, smaller group instruction, or personalized support in quieter areas.
Every item in this project is chosen with my students’ needs and interests in mind. These resources will allow me to differentiate instruction, encourage participation, and promote confidence in learners with a range of disabilities, including autism, ADHD, and developmental delays.
