Help me give my students the basic materials they need in order to safely go back to school during the pandemic such as face masks, sanitizing wipes, markers, and more. Now more than ever, teachers are heavily focusing on the safety of their students!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school has created an environment where students are encouraged to take ownership and accountability of their learning. Every child has their own strengths and areas needing improvement, and access to the appropriate resources are just what they need in order to make tremendous growth. The students in my class always put forward their full efforts to be better. They all strive to be the best learners they can be.
There are about 13 students in my classroom between kindergarten and second grade, all with varying strengths and needs.
All receive a combination of related services such as speech, social work, and occupational therapy. They all inspire me to be the strongest advocate for them and their families and the best teacher I can be every day as they work hard to improve as students and members to our community.
My Project
Kindergarten is an exciting time for many young students, establishing new routines as they dive deeper into learning foundational skills in all subject areas. Even though we will enter the new school year with many uncertainties still up in the air, students will still require essential materials such as pencils, crayons, markers, erasers, and glue to produce work that they can be proud of. With Covid-19 and their safety as our main focus, it is now important more than ever for students to have their own personal supplies to use. By having their own assigned bins with supplies inside, students will be provided with added safety while in the classroom.
By donating to our project, you will not only provide young students from low-income households with a positive start to their educational careers, but you will also provide them with the safety they deserve to go to school each day, knowing that they have essential resources they can use to sanitize, stay healthy, and be safe.
Having this peace of mind will tremendously help increase their academic achievement and social-emotional learning. Students will be able to feel secure in their classroom, their home away from home.
Regardless if we continue classes at school or through remote learning at home, these supplies will continue to assist children in both settings.
