We are located in Staten Island, NY. We are a Title I school and we have close to 900 students. I teach fourth grade students. The students in my class come from very diverse backgrounds. It is an ICT class, so we have twelve students with disabilities integrated into our classroom. Some of these students have ADHD, dyslexia, autism and other learning disabilities.
My Project
Classroom items will be used for small group seating and small group work. Other items will be used for hands on learning, to make learning fractions easier. Chromebooks will be used as a versatile computer to make small groups more interactive and exciting. The dry erase board makes small group learning easier for the children. It allows them to better see what the teacher is writing and strategies she is showing.
Helping the students with these items will enhance every aspect of their learning which is so critical at this time.
