My Students
My students are in the Chinese immersion program. Every school day, my students have the chance to learn Chinese and English Language Arts, Social Studies and Science in Chinese, and Math in English.
Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.
Students need to enjoy each other, the classroom, and the learning activities. They love to have a good positive relationship, friendly class setting, and hands-on learning projects. I find that they like to enjoy learning more in a refreshing and individualized classroom setting.
My Project
I would like to provide students the friendly, natural-light lit, and fragrant classroom when they walk into the classroom. They need to feel more relaxed in order to learn. A good environment is the beginning of the learning. The fragrance dispenser will relax the student's mood. The natural light lamp will help students to be more focused while they read in the library area. The LEGO blocks would be a great incentive for one of my ADHD students. Some of my attention deficiency and super active energy students have a hard time sitting still and being focused. The balance ball and wobble chair would be a tremendous help for their learning, especially when it comes with a choice of different colored chairs or balls. I have seen other teachers use them to help the students to stay focused. Two of the parents told me that they worked great for their kids at home. I assume it would help them at school, also.
