This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I currently have a class pet that was purchased last year, Phoenix the bearded dragon! She is an amazing way to enrich the curriculum in the classroom setting, especially since this year I’m solely teaching all of the 5th-grade science classes at my campus.

I want to be able to have her in the classroom again this year; however, her cage, which was donated, is now way too small for the classroom.

She has grown and needs a larger tank to be able to come back for classroom enrichment! She needs room to roam in order to continue to thrive and help me grow curious scientific minds!
