Help me give my students the resources to learn about budgeting and how to spend money appropriately!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Digan's classroom raised $237

My Project
Our Seminar class focuses on skills helping all students, from the Englewood community in Chicago, in their post secondary paths (workforce, college, military, entrepreneurship). The most important life skill is budgeting. Students earn income each week by helping the flow of the classroom and taking on additional responsibility beyond their classwork. This ranges from classroom banker (auditing each students account for accuracy) to Chromebook cart keeper to folder collector.
Students must earn enough each month in income to afford to pay rent for their desk.
To help them understand the importance of saving, students can use their money to purchase food from me. This food will be used not only to feed hungry teenagers who need a snack to pay attention, but also will instill the value of saving money at an early age and discourage the habit of spending unnecessarily.
Lastly, headphones are needed for how to videos as students set up their own budgets excel sheets.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
