This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach two amazing tracks of 6th graders each year. While my classroom is generous in size, our current desks (triangle shaped), along with 2 large poles in the middle of the room, make it difficult to configure groups of desks around the classroom. I love collaborative learning and my students for years to come would benefit from new square desks. These traditional desks would allow students to store items throughout the day so they can use their entire workspace on top of their desks. Additionally, I would be able to use different layouts through the year. My students and I would be so grateful!!
