This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating a positive classroom environment is essential for student growth—academically, socially, and emotionally. One of the most effective ways to build that environment is by recognizing and rewarding positive behavior, responsibility, and hard work. That’s why I’m asking for your support in funding a classroom incentive system that includes punch cards, classroom currency, and fun store prizes.

With your help, my students will be able to earn "money" for meeting expectations, showing kindness, participating, completing homework, and demonstrating perseverance.

They’ll then be able to use that currency to "shop" in our class store—a fun and motivating way to teach financial literacy, goal setting, and delayed gratification.

These incentives aren’t just about fun; they’re about reinforcing the kind of behavior that creates a respectful, hard-working, and supportive learning community. When students feel seen and celebrated for their efforts, they’re more engaged, more motivated, and more connected to their classroom.

This system empowers students to take ownership of their choices and understand that their actions have meaningful outcomes. Thank you for helping me build a space where positivity is not only encouraged—it’s rewarded.
