My Project
This project would support and enhance learning in my 4th grade self contained classroom. As a teacher of students with diverse learning needs, I constantly strive to create hands-on and visually engaging activities in a differentiated environment where all students can succeed. The Cricut machine would serve as an invaluable tool in bringing our lessons to life, increasing student engagement, and fostering independence through personalized learning materials.
Educational benefits:
*Visual supports such as individualized schedules, social stories, token boards
*Interactive learning tools including vocabulary cards, math manipulatives and sorting activities
*Classroom organization materials like labeled bins, folders, and center stations to promote independence
*Creative projects that build fine motor skills, such as cut-and-paste crafts, writing prompts, and science models
*Positive behavior reinforcement tools like customized stickers, certificates and reward charts.
Many of my students are visual and kinesthetic learners who benefit from multisensory activities. The Cricut will allow me to provide customized resources quickly and cost effectively, ensuring that all instruction is accessible and engaging for all.
Impact: This donation would directly impact a minimum of 12 students each year for the foreseeable future! Including students with a range of learning differences, including speech and language delays, ADHD, and other health impairments. In our inclusive environment the use of tools like the Cricut help us to remove barriers to learning and celebrate each child's unique abilities!
