Classroom Computer Station

My students need 2 laptops in order to have a rotating computer station to differentiate learning experiences.

My Students

Remember being in middle school? Remember math in middle school? Hearing your teacher lecture about how to solve the complex problems of pre-algebra may have not been your favorite part of the day. If you're anything like my scholars, online math videos or interactive games definitely make math fun!

My college bound scholars are building confidence in their math mastery and need benefits to help them access resources at their individual learning levels!

My 6th - 8th grade scholars are 3 - 4 years below grade level and battle being identified as learning disabled. Despite the challenges of urban education in DC, they work hard to overcome obstacles on a daily basic. This year, they have gradually increased their engagement and mastery of math concepts and are looking forward to aiming for growth on our end of the year assessments.

My Project

What's better than a computer station with Chromebooks? Integration of technology will allow differentiated learning, giving students access to personalized objectives based on their own individual needs. These computers will benefit my scholars by: (1) Exposing students to the world beyond DC (2) Aid in increasing student engagement and interest in learning content (3) Lead to greater student achievement as a result of increased engagement.

Laptops will allow an expanded computer station within my classroom where computer time can become a natural part of each class rather than a once per week luxury.

With online access, my students are provided to an array of resource materials that meets them at their academic levels in a fun and engaging way. Help make math fun for my college bound scholars!
