This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
During English Language Arts, my students have silent reading time. They get to dive into the depths of their imaginations while comfortably sitting in an area of the classroom that they feel comfortable. Most of them enjoy sitting on the floor under desks, leaning on walls, or laying on their belly
My students are only exposed to what they experience in school.
They are fascinated by the many things the world has to offer. They are artistic, creative, clever, and funny. I have a class that I'd consider having a colorful personality all together.
My Project
My students will be able to use this resource as a reference because of the planetary print. This rug is a necessary piece in my classroom for comfort. Everyday, my students meet in the "rug area" to build communication skills, reading and comprehension skills, and for mini lessons. This rug is essential to our class.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom by allowing my students to have a comfortable place to congregate, read, and learn.
Children remember the way they feel when entering into a classroom. I hope this rug helps create that wonderful feeling for them.
