Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am constantly inspired by my students' curiosity, resilience, and creativity. Each day, they bring unique perspectives and a genuine desire to learn. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences enrich our classroom environment, making it a vibrant space for exploration and growth. I admire their willingness to take risks, ask questions, and support one another, creating a strong sense of community.

By incorporating Spanish books, my students will have the opportunity to read in their native language and learn more about their cultures and the similarities we might all have.

Social emotional resources will help in our calm corner to help students become more regulated and also be able to express their feelings privately if they have a hard time sharing out loud. This will help us better support our students and be able to talk to them about their emotions.

GeoBlocks will help our students during our math units when they work on math centers and work on learning shapes. Students get the opportunity to build and learn how each shape can be used.

The bookshelves would help our classroom be more organized in a way that students are able to navigate easier. We would use these to organize books and supplies for easier access.

Having Name tag holders will help students have a more organized workspace that is assigned to them and is more fitting for their needs.

Laminating sheets will help prepare more resources for my students to reuse everyday.

These resources will help our students learn how to read more fluently in their native language, be able to talk through their emotions better and simply be more comfortable in our classroom. Students will love being able to see different things they connect to or that help them build a foundation as we learn to express our feelings.
