Classroom Comes Alive Part 2

My students need a classroom projector to use our document camera and to view content from the computer.

My Students

My students would love the opportunity to make and share images for the whole class to view. We have a classroom document camera that needs a projector! We would love to have one in the classroom at all times instead of asking to borrow one of two our school has if it is available.

I have 19 students in my 5th grade class this year.

All of my students are members of the Navajo nation. Many of the students do not have technology at home. The use of technology in the classroom will make concepts come together and students can share their learning with their classmates. My students love coming to school and learning. They come to school with a positive attitude and ready to learn. Some of my students are on the bus for close to an hour before they reach school.

My Project

We are requesting a classroom projector. We are requesting a projector to use our document camera and share multimedia presentations on a daily basis. Our school only has two projectors that are stretched thin. It would allow our classroom to share everyday without the added stress of borrowing the slim resources available to us. The use of the document camera and classroom projector will help concepts come together for my students. Visually they will be able to follow along with lessons and they will have the added joy of sharing their learning with their classmates.

I ask you to support the education of Native American children and bring technology into our classroom.

Please help me as an educator bring the outside world to all of my students. Many of my students are not exposed to a world off the reservation and this will help prepare them for the future ahead.
