This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
How will the specific items make a difference in their learning?
The classroom carpets will help create defined, comfortable learning spaces that support focus, organization, and engagement.
With designated areas for group work, independent reading, and whole-class activities, students will be able to move with purpose and settle into routines more easily. These carpets will reduce distractions and give students a cozy, welcoming space to learn and collaborate.
What are your goals for this project?
My goal is to create a flexible and inviting classroom environment where all students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. The carpets will play a key role in building a structured space that promotes both academic learning and positive classroom culture. I want students to have the freedom to explore, discuss, and learn together in areas that feel special and designed just for them.
What makes your students special?
My students are bright, curious, and full of potential. Many of them come from bilingual or multicultural homes and bring unique perspectives and experiences to our classroom. They are resilient, kind, and excited to grow as learners. What makes them truly special is their ability to support one another and take pride in our shared classroom space. These new carpets will give them an environment that reflects how much they matter.
