This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students live in the great city of Detroit and are in a low-income/high-poverty school district. They are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite this, they are craving to learn more, so help me give them a pleasant and comfortable place to do this. My students love to learn in different locations around the classroom and need an outlet to get their energy out through movement. We can do many brain breaks on this new carpet, an excellent time for exercise and expression.

By donating to this project, you are helping a great group of kids feel safe and at home in their classroom.

We need your help making our classroom a comfortable place to learn and grow. We will use this new rug to feel connected as a classroom community and use it as a safe place to learn.
