Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, we have a class CARE cart which provides students with access to basic items such as lotion, deodorant, menstrual products, facial wipes, bandaids, chapstick, snacks, and more.

The inclusion of this cart in our room has led to students feeling safe, comfortable, and confident in class.

By making basic hygiene supplies and snacks available to students at school, they don't have to worry about the access they do or don't have to these items at home. This helps students to remain focused on their school work when in class. These supplies are essential to students' success in school.

My students also love to take pictures using our Polaroid camera when they are feeling confident or when they see a peer doing great work. Along with restocking supplies, I also hope to add photo albums to our CARE cart area for students to look at when they aren’t feeling their best.
