Classroom Calming Corners

My Project

It is my goal and hope as a school trauma support specialist to support the creation of positive and encouraging spaces for students in their classrooms.

The items that are listed consist of furniture, such as bean bags and small rugs and sensory items, such as sand timers, stress balls, and other fidget-like materials that will be placed into classroom calming corners, allowing students to learn how to recognize, regulate, and manage their emotions.

Students deserve a choice! The sensory items will be available for students to choose what they need at that moment in order to ground themselves and prepare their bodies and minds to rejoin the class.
