I am teaching 4th graders who are always on the go. They are constantly moving and excited to learn. We move at a fast pace and I encourage my students to work hard. We have a classroom of diverse learners who are growing into ambitious and compassionate people. They deserve the best education I can give them.
These amazing kids have shown so much strength and resilience through these last few years.
They deserve more supports to help them process their emotions and enhance their creativity. Using the calm jars, the challenging games, and the flexible seating, help them deal with their emotions. We will learn that struggles make them stronger and that positive character traits can be practiced to help everyone find success. Mindfulness and connection will help our classroom community grow.
I feel it is important for my students to have a positive, safe, learning environment. I want them to enjoy coming to school and make learning fun.
