Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing, because they are kind, hardworking and have the potential to rule the world. My students love to help each other and always work together to make sure they are all successful. I have instilled the importance of respect and they gladly take it upon themselves to make sure they respect each other.
My students come from different social-economic backgrounds and different cultures and yet they continue to build positive relationships with each other.
Some of my students take on more responsibility than a child should and in class they have the opportunity to be the child they deserve to be. They are able to feel safe, happy and it gives them their own time to shine.
My Project
This project is to help create a literacy environment in the classroom.
I want my students to love to read again, by providing books in English and Spanish, to create a room that is filled with print!
I have many English Language Learners and having something that they can relate to is important, so that they can feel as if they are included in the classroom. I want all students to feel welcome and most important be able to grab a book to read for the simple joy of reading.
