This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every year I tell my students our classroom is their second home, and I am not just their teacher but a "school mom" and I will take care of them when they are away from home.
My 4th graders are the most amazing children with big hearts.
Two-thirds of my families come from low-income families and look to their teacher and the schools for even basic educational needs.
My Project
My students need books to read.
There is nothing more powerful than to turn the pages of a book.
In March I sent home my entire classroom library to ensure my students would continue to read.
My students come from low-income households and rely on us to make sure they have books at their fingertips.
My students need books. I want to ensure they have books that interest them and inspire them. Please help build my classroom library. I have asked for books of different genres and reading leavers to ensure all children in my class will learn to love reading!
