Classroom Book Donation

My students need 24 sets of just right, level E-I nonfiction books, plus 4 each of 7 additional books so that they can read independently.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Silveira's classroom raised $989

This project is fully funded

My Students

As beginning readers it is very challenging to find nonfiction books that first grade students can attempt to read independently.

The students in my classroom are eager to learn and they love books.

They live in a community that supports early literacy skills and are very fortunate to have opportunities that expose them to rich literature environments. Our classroom is full of different reading abilities.

My Project

My students need just right level E-I nonfiction books they can read independently. With this donation, students will have a much larger selection of books to choose from when searching for books that they can read. During Reader's Workshop, the students will have the opportunity to select more non-fiction books for independent reading. Most of the books in our library are currently fiction.

This selection of books will continue to promote a love of reading.

These books will help balance the amount of fiction and non-fiction in our classroom. These books will spark their interest related to different topics.
